This beauty is the Yamaha CVP-709, and let me tell you, it’s not just a piano… it’s a full-on entertainment system dressed up in a polished ebony finish.
From the outside, it’s all lovely sleek curves and a tidy built-in lid, but once you sit down and start playing… goodness me, does it come alive.
Yamaha’s CVP series is known for its incredible sound system, and the 709 is no exception. Thanks to a rather clever speaker channel tucked underneath, it delivers a grand, rich sound that really surprises you. Whether you’re tinkling up high or booming down low, every note just sings.
Here’s where it gets really clever. The CVP-709 comes with a built-in recording studio, basically. You can lay down up to 16 tracks, one by one. That means you can record your left hand, your right hand, your guitar sound, your backing… whatever you like.
Once you’ve recorded something, it can actually show you the sheet music for what you’ve just played. You can zoom in, follow along, and see exactly what you’ve done. A brilliant tool for anyone learning, or for those of us who just like to know what we meant to play!
If you’re looking for help getting started (or getting back into playing), you’ll love this: the CVP-709 has a light-guided learning system.
Take a song like Amazing Grace – the keyboard lights up the correct notes as you go, and it’ll even wait if you press the wrong one. It’s wonderfully encouraging, and you can follow along either with the lights or the on-screen music. Great for building confidence for beginners.
You can also layer instruments over your recordings. Fancy a classical guitar joining your piano line? Easy peasy. Just dial it up from the voice section, hit play, and start layering.
Hit the “Easy Country” backing in the rhythm section, and off you go. The 709 gives you intro, ending, and fill-ins – everything you need to make your playing feel like a live band is following your every move.
I had great fun exploring the Ethereal Movie and Modern Big Band styles – both packed with atmosphere and drama. Whether you want subtle and soft or big and bold, the 709 delivers it all in spades.

These items will be sent via courier (typically APC or FedEx). On occasion, depending on which is fastest, we will drop-ship directly from Yamaha to your address via UPS or Parcelforce.

Smaller items, such as books, discs, etc, will be dispatched via Royal Mail second class.
After purchase, you can download the file either from the order confirmation page or the "Downloads" tab in "My Account".
If you have selected the option to receive a pre-loaded USB stick, then this will be dispatched via Royal Mail.
We will contact you regarding any pre-ordered items, and let you know when they arrive so as to arrange delivery with you at a convenient time.

It typically takes 7-10 days for this item to arrive with us, whereupon we'll contact you to discuss the arrangement of delivery.
