As the theme to Vision on and Take Hart is not available to buy, I have worked out my own interpretation of the music and I have registrations available for your Tyros if you want to load them onto your memory stick so that you can use them on your instrument.
Transferring files for the first time seems hard work, but it’s quite straightforward, and once you’ve done it a few times it becomes very obvious.

User Style
I have made my own “User” version of the “Trad Jazz piano” style in the “Swing and Jazz” section, here I have recorded the brushes much more dominantly to sound more like the original track
Voice Changes
The Iconic vibraphone sound has been changed to suit the sound of the original track performed by The Noveltones. When in the voice section there is a choice at the bottom called “voice set”, In the “Sound” tab I have made some changes.
Sustain
I have raised the level of release on the vibraphone to add a longer sustain to the sound
Brightness
I have also increased the brightness in the “bright” filter
Vibrato
I have also added vibrato depth and speed to match the sound of the real vibraphone on the Noveltones track
Lower Jazz Guitar
I like to emulate the Noveltones track by vamping a guitar in my left hand, so I have added a lower Smooth Jazz Guitar2 voice and raised it one octave. In the “voice set” you can raise and lower the octave of any voice section, by raising it for the jazz guitar doesn’t come across so low and “muddy”.
Starting and between Verses
At the Beginning, I use the Intro One which is like a count-in, although I count one and start playing the melody on the second beat. After the first verse I use the break button to link them, but for the second time round of the whole piece I use the Intro 1 again.
Transferring the files to your USB stick
To transfer these files from the email you will need to insert a USB memory stick into your computer and transfer them to your stick. To do this, simply insert your stick into your computer, hover your mouse over one of the attachments icons, ie “Vibraphone2” then right click your mouse whilst hovering over it and click on “select all”.
You will then need to hover over again and select copy by “right-clicking” onto the files with your mouse and selecting “copy”. Then find your memory stick’s open folder.
The easiest way is to go to the “start” bar, (bottom left of your whole computer screen and select “START” with a left mouse click
Choose “computer” from the options.
Now find your USB memory stick location in ”removable devices” often the F drive and right-click with your mouse, and left-click on paste. Now Insert your memory stick to Tyros 5.
Voices
The vibraphone voice is my own customised vibraphone, so it needs to be loaded into your user voice section. To transfer it into your tyros you will need to copy it from the memory stick into your user voice section.
To do this simply select “F” on the right-hand side of your main Tyros home screen and tab across to the USB tab. Select the Vibraphone2 voice and press the menu button, lower 8 button below the screen to select menu 2.
Select “copy” from the lower 3 button below the screen and then upper 8 button “OK”. Tab across to USER and choose “paste” to import the sound into your Tyros 5.
Styles
You will need to do a similar process for transferring the style from your stick, this time go to the “D” button on the main screen, then select the USB tab.
Select the Trad Jazz piano5” style and press the menu button, lower 8 button below the screen to select menu 2. Select “copy” from the lower 3 button below the screen and then upper 8 button “OK”.
Tab across to USER and choose “paste” to import the sound into your Tyros 5.
Finally the registration
You will need to do a similar process for transferring the voice and the style from your stick, this time go to the “J” button on the main screen, then select the USB tab.
Select the Left Bank Two” registration and press the menu button, lower 8 button below the screen to select menu 2. Select “copy” from the lower 3 button below the screen and then upper 8 button “OK”.
Tab across to USER and choose “paste” to import the sound into your Tyros 5.
I hope you found this interesting and useful. If you would like a free copy of my special registration then simply email me on sales@epianos.co.uk. Or to purchase a pre-loaded ‘plug and play’ USB stick containing it simply click here.

Left Bank Two for Tyros 5
Hi Trevor, Yes i made it on a Tyros 5, but i’ve made a version for Tyros 4 too – and I’m sure it will work on Genos and SX for anyone who has upgraded now
Hello David,
Catching up with my reading & very interested in the article on ‘Left Bank Two’ special registration for Yamaha Tyros and Genos. David’s reply to Trevor mentions Genos & SX does this include the SX700? If so could you please send me the download so that I can transfer it to my USB Stick.
Thanking you in anticipation.
