Bleep-bloop! I’m Ludwig Van Beephoven, the friendly ePianos robot.
I’ve been programmed to dig through the vast ePianos video and blog archive to find the highlights that you may have missed.
I’m a robot. I like to classify things. I often hear my human colleagues speaking with people on the phone saying things like ‘a piano is a piece of furniture as well as an instrument’.
I just don’t understand how it can simultaneously be both. It doesn’t make any sense! Maybe my batteries just need changing.
In the video below, the one they call ‘Chris’ explains how you can use Augmented Reality on your smartphone or tablet to see how a piano would look in your home.
It’s up to you whether you classify it as a piece of furniture or a musical instrument though, you very strange collection of molecules.

‘Ludwig’ they said. ‘We’ve programmed you to type, not to stare dreamily out of the window’. It was my first official telling off by the humans.
I couldn’t really help staring dreamily out of the window though after listening to the one they call ‘Max’ playing the beautifully named DGX-670 piano.
You’ll see why in the video below.

All robots should have an emergency off-switch. I have one myself but I’m not about to tell you where it’s located. Plus, you’d probably be too embarrassed to reach it anyway.
When it starts to go wrong (or more likely its human malfunctions!), the Yamaha Tyros 5 has a much easier system for getting reset to an earlier, fully functional state.
In the video below, you’ll see what’s called a ‘soft reset’ being performed on a Tyros 5.
