Did you know that you can connect your Yamaha CVP805 or CVP809 to an external TV or monitor?
There are many benefits to connecting it to a separate screen. Some benefits may be having your sheet music just that little bit bigger, or maybe you want to display the lyrics to a song you are playing, or you could even be a teacher that needs a bigger screen to show students on.
Whatever it may be, it’s a very useful additional feature and really fun to use along with a microphone and the sing-a-long karaoke features on the CVP800 series.
First off I must advise against using a standard USB TO HDMI. I say this simply because it does not work, so please avoid using this method. If you want a crystal clear picture then follow these instructions!
The company Pluggable makes a screen adapter called the UGA165. This ranges from £40-£70 and is perfect for the job. Providing clear screen coverage with smooth real-time pictures. It is available to purchase in a number of places online.

Step 2 – From here the USB cable will go into the DVL adapter. It looks like a small black box no bigger than an iPhone. This is the main body of the adapter, and where your picture will be converted. It handles all the main processing of the image.
Step 3 – From here the DVL can be plugged into two different cables, each for a different type of screen. Depending on what you are using to display your picture. You can use either the…
VGA – This is the cable that you will use if you are connecting to a computer screen. This is lesser-known input, but works just as well!
HDMI – This is the cable you will use if you are connecting to a TV screen. This is one of the more common image cables and you can find an input for it on every TV (Provided it’s not a black and white TV)
