How do I find a particular song by keyword?

Yamaha Genos
Yamaha SX900 - PSR-SX900
SX Series

Finding a song can be quick and easy

For Genos and SX Series

There is a search by keyword feature built into the piano meaning that you can quickly search for a particular song title. Here’s how to do it:

If you press ‘Regist Bank Select’ (imprinted with the symbols ‘+’ and ‘-‘) buttons at the same time, it will take you to a grey menu. Ensure that the User option is highlighted white on both the top and left-hand sides of the screen.

If you turn your attention to the top right, you will see an option label ‘search’ with a magnifying glass as its symbol. If you press that then you’ll be taken to a grey menu with nothing on it. Located at the top is a blank grey box, press it and a keyboard will appear.

From here all you need to do is type the name of the song you want. You do not even need to type the full name of the song! You can search for it via keywords and the instrument will list all song titles in relation to that word. Handy for searching in a rush

After pressing ‘okay’ (located at the bottom right-hand side of the screen). After which, the song will appear on your display without the need to scroll through the long playlists.

You then simply press the song on the screen and then the blue registration button no.1 and you can begin playing. The blue registration button will turn orange, indicating that the registration setting is ready and active. All you need to do now is play your first chord.
