The new Yamaha MODX-M range brings the sonic depth of Yamaha’s flagship synths into a compact, portable body. Designed for synthesists, keyboardists and pianists, it combines three powerful sound engines — AN-X, FM-X and AWM2 — for stunning analogue warmth, digital clarity, and ultra-realistic acoustic tones.
At its heart lies Yamaha’s Motion Control Synthesis Engine, unifying all three engines into one expressive ecosystem. This allows deep, evolving control over your sounds via the Super Knob, Motion Sequences, and Envelope Follower. The MODX-M bridges studio and stage effortlessly, with USB MIDI 2.0, multichannel audio recording, and full integration via the Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP), which mirrors the hardware inside your DAW.
AN-X ENGINE

You’ll find dedicated Part and Scene Selection buttons to control 8 Parts per Performance. Particularly beneficial for live performances, this intuitive control improves overall usability and adds dimension to each Performance.
HIGH RESOLUTION CONTROL
The MODX M Knobs, Super Knob, Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel and Sound Engine, are now High Resolution. Because of the fine resolution, you’ll find the MODX M performs smoother than its predecessors.

ESP lets you to create, edit and mix performances anywhere you happen to be – without the hardware – offering an unprecedented level of stage and studio integration.
