About the Yamaha DGX660
The Yamaha DGX660 is one of Yamaha’s most versatile digital pianos. The DGX-660 features 88 full-size, touch-responsive keys, a dedicated ‘Piano Room’ suite (with classic piano sounds and piano-specific controls), a huge array of high-quality and varied backing rhythms or ‘styles’, multi-track recording functionality, and even a mic input for vocal accompaniment.
The DGX-660 stands alone for what it offers in its price range.
DGX660 – A Piano First
Yamaha’s GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) key action, a tried and true key mechanism, sits behind the full 88 key range of the Yamaha DGX660. Combined with Piano Room, the DGX660 offers a vast selection of piano-centric voices and controls for pure piano practice.
The DGX660 also comes with a dedicated wooden stand to which the optional Yamaha LP7A pedals can be installed, fleshing out the DGX660 with a 3-pedal system to a fully-fledged digital piano system.
Sound & Versatility
The DGX-660 has a diverse and well-stocked compliment of backings and rhythms, giving you a real sense of playing alongside a band. Add a microphone and enhance your voice with dedicated effects such as chorus and reverb, for a studio-quality playing experience.
The DGX660 uses Yamaha’s Pure CF sound engine, to deliver high-quality samples, including that of the legendary Yamaha CFIII 9′ concert grand piano, alongside a diverse selection of sampled instruments. Experience rich dynamics and expressive tone through the superb built-in speaker system, or through headphones for silent practice.
Yamaha’s ‘Damper Resonance’ technology is also featured on the Yamaha DGX660, replicating the effect of sympathetic vibration in unplayed strings when the damper pedal is applied (when using the optional Yamaha LP7A 3-pedal system).
