The Allure of the CLP-700 Series
The new CLP 700 Series of digital pianos incorporates ground-breaking technology to recreate the feeling and experience of performing on a acoustic grand piano. It allows the pianist to play the keys with a wide variation of speed and depth to achieve an unlimited potential in tone and sound to provide a completely authentic performance. With the expressive capability approaching that of a grand piano, the CLP-700 Series is guaranteed to provide an unrivalled digital piano experience.
Convenience Only Digital Pianos Can Deliver
Yamaha’s Clavinova pianos are packed with intuitive and expansive features only digital pianos can deliver, allowing for the use of headphones to keep your surroundings quiet, and the ability to play along with pre-set rhythms for added enjoyment. CLP’s also work perfectly with the Smart Pianist app, which can aid both practice and provide a convenient user interface/controls. The simple control panel on the left of the CLP’s makes it easy to quickly change the pianos settings, such as the voice, tuning, metronome and much more.
Enjoy a dialogue with a great piano
The player plays, the piano responds, and the player continues to play. The player conveys the feelings they want to express, and the piano responds, in an ongoing exchange that forges a dialogue between the two. In order for this to be a truly rich exchange, both the player and the piano must possess excellent expressive capabilities; the piano must be easy to play and highly responsive, and it must produce beautiful sounds. CLP-700 Series pianos satisfy all of these conditions, and the inspiration borne from a dialog with it is sure to arouse your desire for expression.
Featuring the latest GrandTouch/GrandTouch-S keyboards with a broad range of dynamic touch and response capability which is almost indistinguishable from that of a grand piano. Excellent consistency and nuanced expression give the pianist the utmost control over touch.
Grand Expression Modelling is an incredible new innovation that allows any player to produce limitless tonal variation, a quality unique to grand pianos. This results in being able to vary the pressure/intensity to give a realistic and expression rich sound which is intrinsically linked to the musical intention of the player.
Virtual Resonance Modelling performs real-time modelling of the sympathetic resonance created by the behaviour of the strings and body of the instrument—the foundation of the beautiful sound of a genuine grand piano. Also, the latest acoustic design technology delivers lifelike concert grand piano tone and resonance to your home for you to enjoy. Yamaha have also expanded their binaural sampling technology to include the Bösendorfer grand piano alongside the very well known CFX grand piano. Binaural sampling is a brilliant advancement in audio reproduction, or, put simply, when using headphones with the 700 series you will experience a near perfect recreation of what these two pianos would sound like if you were physically sitting at them.
Clavinova pianos feature a wealth of preset lesson songs to aid practice and rhythms to add color to your playing, and can also connect to the Smart Pianist app. Clavinova pianos are loaded with fun-enhancing features only digital pianos can deliver. All the 700 series models give you 38 voices and 21 voice demo songs, bar the 795GP and 785 which boast 53 voices and 25 voices demo songs, offering an increase over the 600 series. Among the new voices are ones based on the early ‘Fortepiano’ piano, perfect for getting an authentic sound for 18th and 19th century classical music from composers such as Chopin, Beethoven and Mozart.
