Here are some important things to consider when you’re looking for the best place to buy a digital piano.

Firstly, when making any purchase online, it can be hard to know who you’re actually handing your money over to. So, it is a very good idea to research the credentials of the business that you’re considering buying from.
Ideally, you’ll want to purchase a new piano, keyboard, or organ from a well-established, trusted, and respected company. Here are a few general tips to begin with.
Start off by simply looking for the ‘About us’ page which should be visible on the website’s homepage (here’s our ‘About us’ page).

At the very least, this page should allow you to put some human faces to the company name – it’s nice to know you’re not buying from a robot after all! – at best, it’ll give you a detailed history of the business and help reassure you that you’re dealing with a legitimate business.
This might sound like a strange thing to say, but don’t assume that the business you’ve found is actually based somewhere in the UK.
The simplest way to do this is to check for the company’s address, which is usually located in the ‘contact us’ section (you can see our full address in Banbury, Oxfordshire by clicking here).

Beware that some online companies based in mainland Europe have acquired small UK offices to give the appearance of being in the UK even though their instruments are shipped from a European warehouse.
This can come as quite an unpleasant surprise if you need to return an item and are liable for the postal charges. Not to mention the potential language barrier!
This is a pretty important one. It should be very easy to find a telephone number for the company you’re buying from and to speak to the staff.
If a phone number is not clearly displayed, or if you get connected to an automated service, this may call into question the legitimacy of the business and make any post-sale support hard to get.
At ePianos, it’s simple: Our fully-trained staff are available to speak with between 10am-5pm 6 days a week on 01295 266788.
If you’re looking to get maximum value for money then you should consider what type of shop you purchase from.
Some shops’ knowledge is very thinly spread across various departments e.g. guitars, amplifiers, drums, brass & woodwind etc, and their ability to provide expert post-sale support may be severely compromised.

David explains the most important things to look for when choosing a new digital piano or keyboard
At ePianos, we are digital piano, keyboard, and organ specialists. All of our customer-facing staff are highly trained in these specific areas so whenever you call, email, or visit, you know that you’ll speak with an expert.
To give you an indication of how focussed we are on digital pianos, keyboards, and organs, I highly recommend looking at the video section of our website called ‘ePianosTV’ by clicking here.

Even though buying online has become the norm now, when searching for the best shop to buy a digital piano or keyboard from, it’s always worth finding out if there is a showroom that you can visit.
Not only is this useful if you actually want to test out your desired model, but it will also give you the chance to meet the staff members themselves and to develop a relationship with the company.
At ePianos, our showroom is open to the public 6 days a week between 10am-5pm. As a customer of ours, you are always welcome to come and pay us a visit and try out our pianos, keyboards, and organs, or for some technical help.
There is no better way to gauge a companies’ legitimacy and trustworthiness than reading what other customers think of them.
At ePianos, we’re very happy to say that our customers have been willing to leave us several hundred positive reviews on Google. We are proud to say that we’re one of the most highly rated digital piano and keyboard specialists in the UK!
Many online shops try to tempt customers with very low prices but only after an order has been placed do they inform you that they don’t have the desired instrument in stock!
And even then, they may not be able to supply the instrument at the advertised price.
At ePianos, we prefer an honest and straightforward approach. We update our advertised stock levels every day and, for extra reassurance, we invite you to speak directly with us via phone (01295 266788), email (sales@epianos.co.uk), or via the website LiveChat to confirm that we have items in stock.

This is a good indicator as to whether the shop is active and fully operational. If they have multiple social media accounts and have been posting regularly, then it’s a good sign that they’re legitimate and will be receptive to your enquiries.
At ePianos, our main social media presence is on YouTube where we post regular tutorials, comparisons, and review videos. You can see them all by clicking here.
You will also find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Just because a store is local to you doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re best equipped to serve you in the way you want. When buying a digital piano or keyboard, you might find that a shop based 200 miles from you gives you better service than one that is 2 miles away.
The deciding factor should be whether the store has the required expertise, service ethos, and logistical facilities to meet your needs.
At ePianos, not only do we service our local area, we have customers based across the whole UK. We deliver items and perform servicing to homes up and down the country with our own vehicle every week.
We’re proud to say that we’re a truly nationwide company and aim to provide that ‘local shop’ feeling wherever you are based.
Shopping has changed a lot since the internet came along. These days, it’s harder to gauge the trustworthiness of businesses when you can’t always walk in and shake hands with people.
I hope this guide has given you some useful tips while you look for the best place to buy a digital piano from.
At ePianos, even though you might be a long way from our store, we’ve made it our mission to bring our ‘local shop’ style to you via our website, our videos, and our social media activities, and we hope that you’ve got a good feeling for who we are.
