As we step into 2025, there are plenty of exciting things ahead here at ePianos. I’ve got some projects I’m particularly looking forward to, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
One of the things that’s really taken off lately is my Average Keyboard Guy video series. It’s been a great way to help owners of Yamaha PSR-SX and Genos keyboards get to know their instruments better. I’ve been offering tips on how to use them in new ways, helping new players discover the vast potential of arrangers like these.
The best part? I’ve been responding to tech questions from viewers, which I’ve genuinely enjoyed. If you’ve got a question about your PSR-SX or Genos, don’t hesitate to email me at sales@epianos.co.uk—I’ll do my best to feature it in an upcoming video!
Another exciting project on my to-do list is diving deeper into Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app.
While I’ve touched on it in a few videos, there’s so much more to explore, and it’s compatible with so many Yamaha models. The app can really enhance your playing experience, and trust me, it’ll put a smile on your face. If you’re curious, click here to learn more.
Speaking of in-depth explorations, I’m eager to expand our collection of Clavinova Clinic videos.
These have been designed to help owners of Yamaha CLP and CVP models unlock the full potential of their instruments. The operating system on the CVP-909 (and CVP-800/700) is incredibly powerful—these models are full-fledged music centres.
You can see what I mean in David’s video on multi-track recording below.
Even the more straightforward CLP models are packed with features that many owners don’t even know are there—well, I’m going to change that! I’ll show you how to get 100% out of your piano, no matter what model you have.
Now, here’s something that might have slipped under your radar until now—our website has a specially designed technical support area.
It’s not just videos, but also written and illustrated articles to help you navigate various features on your digital piano or keyboard. We want it to be your go-to resource for all things technical.
Whether you’re learning how to use your pedals or change your split point, just type in your question, and you’ll get a simple, easy-to-follow guide, along with maybe a video for extra clarity. It’s still a work in progress, but you can check it out here. Take a look now for a sneak peek of what’s to come!
Finally, you might have noticed a few slightly different videos I’ve been making recently called The Meaning of Music. In these videos, I use the Bluetooth feature on a Yamaha Clavinova to play along with well-known songs.
Music is something that touches all of us in a profound way, and I want to explore this topic more—particularly through the features and functions of Yamaha’s pianos and keyboards that make these kinds of musical experiences so accessible. See one of the videos below, and keep an eye out for more!
As you can see, my 2025 diary is already filling up. I hope we’ve been not only helpful but also entertaining and inspiring to you this past year.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Keep in touch with us, share your questions, your support, and, of course, your love of music!
Happy New Year, everyone!
