USED Yamaha CLP775 In Black
The Yamaha CLP775 sets an incredibly high benchmark for the digital piano, employing technology that makes it practically indistinguishable from its acoustic counterpart.
Introducing The Yamaha CLP775
The Yamaha CLP775 takes a huge step forward for the Clavinova CLP series, bringing core elements such as newly-sampled voicings of the Yamaha CFXIII and Bosendorfer Imperial 9′ concert grand pianos and a GrandTouch key action, and expanding on these features with a host of innovative and practical enhancements, such as a revised 3-way speaker system, individual key-weighting, and Grand Acoustic Imaging – introduced for the first time here on the CLP-775.
Sound & Speakers
The first thing you’ll notice about the CLP-775 is just how rich and defined the sound is. Yamaha has introduced a 3-way speaker system for the Yamaha CLP775, comprising pairs of a 16cm woofer, an 8cm and 5cm tweeter (each of which with its own dedicated amplifier), PLUS a transducer, whose sole purpose it is to drive sonic vibration to the physical cabinet of the CLP775. This effectively imbues the CLP775 with acoustic properties, immersing the player more than ever before in an authentic, concert grand piano experience – a technology referred to as ‘Grand Acoustic Imaging’.
Alongside the 38 voices present on the Yamaha CLP775, there is also a complement of 20 rhythms, designed to augment practice and performance. Virtual Resonance Modeling, Grand Expression Modeling and GP Response Damper technology ensure that the CLP-775 responds organically to the way in which it is played. Play with intensity or subtlety, and the instrument simulates the physical interactivity within the soundboard and other component parts of a concert grand piano under those circumstances, including sympathetic tone generation and resonance, all of which can be further manipulated with the damper pedal (including the ability to ‘half-pedal’, for added nuance in your playing).
CLP775 | Key Action
Every single key of the Yamaha CLP775 features an authentic weight, relative to the length of the physical hammer of the acoustic counterpart (heavier on the low end, lighter at the top). The GrandTouch wooden (white) key mechanism is Yamaha’s most-responsive Clavinova key action to date, featuring synthetic ebony and ivory keytops to prevent slippage, as well as a unique response when the key is depressed closer to the fulcrum, generating further scope for individual expression.
The GrandTouch key mechanism of the CLP-775 also features ‘escapement’, replicating the real-world ‘click’ of a keypress generated by the swift retraction of a hammer withdrawing from a string, delivering maximum authenticity.
More Features & Smart Pianist
The Yamaha CLP-775 features built-in 16-track USB recording, and Bluetooth technology allowing you to connect a compatible audio source to play your music library through the CLP775’s superb speakers.
For enhanced practice through headphones, the CLP775 offers Binaural Sampling, designed to distribute sound to the listener to the relevant side of the keyboard, and a Stereophonic Optimiser, an aural ‘cushion’ designed to provide a more realistic listening range, avoiding brashness and mitigating listening fatigue.
The advanced touch panel of the Yamaha CLP-775 can be turned off, displaying only a clear black panel, reminiscent of a keyblock. When on, it operates in the exact same way as it does on the other models within the CLP700 range (except CLP725), simply without physical buttons.
Connect Yamaha’s free Smart Pianist app to explore the CLP775 with your Android or iOS smart device, and discover a new way to enjoy the instrument including Chord Tracker, a feature that allows you to display the chords from songs in your iOS music library for you to play along with.
