There is a certain look that appears on peoples’ faces when they enter the stockroom here. It’s one of amazement at the amount of ‘treasure’ in one single place. With such a huge selection of pianos, keyboards, and organs laid out before them, it’s almost too much for them to take in!
‘Wow, this is like a toyshop!’ I’ve heard some people say as they enter the room with their eyes popping out of their heads. And, indeed, for anyone with a passion for such things, it really must be.
The team here at ePianos/Whitley Bay Organs do a very good job at letting their customers know about the latest arrivals, but with so many to choose from, and with only so much space in the weekly newsletter, on occasion, some of the very best ‘golden nuggets’ have been known to slip by the wayside without a mention.
That’s where I come in…
Each week, I’ll be reporting on what I’ve found and shedding light on those hidden bargains that might otherwise remain unnoticed.
Let’s get started with this little beauty that I found tucked away behind several crates of Newcastle Brown Ale in a far corner of the stockroom.
Did you know that this organ contains an incredible selection of traditional organ sounds? Jazz organ, pipe organ, and especially theater organ sounds that will blow your socks off! Whatsmore, there’s even £300 off the price currently. It’s only £2199!

And just look at the size of that large, full-color LCD touch screen. It allows you to set up the sounds with ease. Here’s a demonstration that I found on YouTube.
My next discovery is something that you won’t see very often in this establishment: An traditional upright piano! The poor thing was nestled among the digital pianos and organs not quite knowing what to do with itself!
Please note that I couldn’t snap any pictures of the actual piano itself without being discovered by a member of staff! When they’ve all gone home for the evening I’ll get some pictures and post them on the website listing here.

In case you didn’t know, Yamaha make some of the world’s most highly regarded upright pianos, and this model, at only £1999, is a prime example. It’s only 110cm tall (I wonder if that’s how it got its name?) and even has a ‘quiet’ pedal which brings a cloth in front of the hammers to significantly quieten the sound. Ideal for practicing.
That’s all from me this week. I will continue to investigate every far-flung corner of the ePianos/Whitley Bay stockroom on your behalf to find those hidden bargains!
I am now off to hide underneath the lid of a Lowrey Majesty until everyone’s gone home for the night. Then, while they sleep, I will polish my magnifying glass and get back to work.
