How to choose which Digital Piano or Keyboard to learn Video
Yamaha P125 vs Yamaha P515 Video
What piano should I buy for a beginner? Video
The Yamaha P-121 Personal Digital Piano delivers all of the great benefits of its bigger brother, the P-125 but makes it even more portable! A 73-note Graded hammer standard and the incredible pure CF sound engine, built-in speakers, sequencing and more can all be carried under your arm with ease thanks to its lightweight design. If you need to make and perform music on the move, the P-121 is the digital piano for you.
GRAND IN EXPERIENCE, PORTABLE BY DESIGN
The Yamaha P-121 may be exceptionally portable but its graded hammer standard keyboard complete with a matte finish on the black keys delivers an exquisite playing experience that you would expect to find on a much more heavyweight model. Coupled with this is the responsive Pure CF sound engine that translates every nuance of your dynamics into expressive performance.
Whilst the high-definition sound of the piano is the jewel of the P-121 there is also a collection of 24 voices spanning piano, e.piano, classical instruments, ensemble, organs and more. Backing these varied sounds up are 20 built-in bass and drum tracks so that you can practice your timing and have a little fun whilst doing it. Consider the P-121 your practice and performance powerhouse in a unit that can fit on a tabletop.
BUILT IN AUDIO
The P-121 comes with a newly designed 2-way speaker system to help wrap you up in the sound. This is achieved by projecting the audio both up and down to help create a sweet-spot of sound for you to enjoy. Plugging in a set of headphones will switch the speakers off so you can practice in silence when needed and the stereo acoustic optimisation means that you won’t get that “boxed-in” sound through the headphones that some other digital pianos suffer from – just pure and wide stereo breathing space.
Recording your performance not only allows you to share with others but gives you the ability to listen back and critique your timing and dynamics. For this, the P-121 has a built-in sequencer that can capture 2 tracks and up to 11,000 notes. Compose, play along with and develop your skills whenever you want. Should you want to sit back and listen to the P-121 it comes complete with 24 full demo songs and 50 piano songs, ideal for backing music for gatherings.
SMART PIANIST APPLICATION
The Smart Pianist app for iOS lets you “deep-edit” the P-121 in a nice intuitive layout that keeps everything smart and simple. Control your sounds, read sheet music, capture and playback performances all in one handy application.
The P-121 Digital Piano is everything you would expect from Yamaha and more. Giving you grand piano capability anywhere and packing in features that are aimed to empower your musical ability, the P-121 is a real inspiration.
