The Yamaha EL 28 is described as “a baby in the EL series,” but it incorporates the technology of its big brothers, the EL 90 and EL 70 which are known to professional organists.
It has the normal two spinit organ manuals and a 20 note pedal-board like its big brothers and uses the preset registration selection system, also like its big brother.
Additional rhythms, voices and presets can be loaded via the fitted disk recorder which also serves to record and play back tunes played on the organ. Disks recorded on the EL 28 can be played on all the other organs in this range. It has a fold down lid which serves as a music rest.
The organ weighs 53 kgs whereas its big brothers are some 98 and 107.5 kg.
