If you’ve been thinking about learning piano or keyboard, Yamaha’s new Play Now Cashback Campaign could be the perfect excuse to finally get started.
Running from 26th August until 13th January, the campaign gives you up to £90 cashback on a selection of Yamaha keyboards and digital pianos aimed at beginner and returning players.
As someone still fairly early on in my own piano-learning journey, I really like that the chosen instruments included aren’t intimidating or unnecessarily complicated. There are straightforward digital pianos if you want to focus on learning, cabinet-style models if you want something permanent at home, and keyboards if you’d rather experiment with different sounds and styles.

So there’s a pretty good spread depending on what kind of player you want to be.
The Yamaha P-145BT and P-225 are both compact 88-note weighted digital pianos, making them great options if your main goal is to properly learn piano without taking up loads of room.
I actually have a P-145BT at home, and for me it’s a really nice, straightforward place to start.
The P-225 gives you a few more sounds and features to explore as you progress, so it’s worth looking at both depending on your budget.
During the campaign, you can claim £40 cashback on the P-145BT or £50 cashback on the P-225.
If you’d rather have something that looks and feels more like a traditional home piano, the Yamaha YDP-146 and YDP-166 are also included.
Both give you a full 88-note weighted keyboard, a three-pedal setup and a proper cabinet design.
The YDP-146 comes with £70 cashback, while the YDP-166 comes with £90 cashback, which is the biggest cashback amount in the campaign.
If you’re more interested in experimenting with different sounds, Styles and musical ideas, take a look at the Yamaha PSR-E483 and PSR-E583.
These are much more about creativity and variety than recreating a traditional piano setup, making them a really fun route into playing if you want to try lots of different genres and sounds.
Both models come with £30 cashback during Play Now.

Depending on which option is most appropriate, we will either contact you to discuss a bespoke ePianos delivery surcharge for goods we can’t package for a 3rd party courier, or otherwise dispatch goods via FedEx or APC.
If a courier is used, tracking will be provided by them directly, with a typical arrival time of 1-2 working days.

These items will be sent via courier (typically APC or FedEx). On occasion, depending on which is fastest, we will drop-ship directly from Yamaha to your address via UPS or Parcelforce.
Tracking will be provided by the courier, with a typical arrival time of 1-2 working days.
Smaller items, such as books, discs, etc, will be dispatched via Royal Mail second class.
After purchase, you can download the file either from the order confirmation page or the "Downloads" tab in "My Account".
If you have selected the option to receive a pre-loaded USB stick, then this will be dispatched via Royal Mail.
We will contact you regarding any pre-ordered items, and let you know when they arrive so as to arrange delivery with you at a convenient time.

This is a special order "agency" item, and comes to us directly from Yamaha on a per-order basis.
It typically takes 7-10 days for this item to arrive with us, whereupon we'll contact you to discuss the arrangement of delivery.
For any pre-orders, we will contact you as soon as the item arrives with us to schedule a delivery with you, and update you with an ETA.
Occasionally, there may be availability issues with our suppliers, in which case we'll get in touch with you to see if you're happy to wait, or if you'd like to cancel the order and receive a full refund.
