We don’t often see the Yamaha DGX-670 come back to us secondhand – and when we do, they tend to disappear just as quickly. Why? Because the DGX-670 strikes that rare balance between being truly versatile, genuinely inspiring, and affordable.
At £599, this particular one – stock ID 10007 – is an absolute steal.
The DGX-670 gives you the full 88-note keyboard length, with properly weighted keys – that lovely heavy, mechanical feel that gives the sense of playing a real acoustic piano. Not just semi-weighted or springy like some alternatives, but a playing experience that’s rich and satisfying under the fingers.
That, alone, makes it a standout in its price range. But Yamaha didn’t stop there.
Despite its relatively compact size, the DGX-670 surprises me every time with the power of its built-in speakers – especially those distinctive white speaker cones, a nod to Yamaha’s legendary studio monitor design.
You don’t need external amplification to enjoy a huge soundscape here. From a beautifully clean concert grand to lush layered textures of strings and ambient synths, this thing can fill a room.
One of my favourite things about this piano is how easy it is to create something totally your own. Whether it’s an atmospheric synth layered with a mellow piano, or an electric piano tremolo washed in reverb, it’s all accessible via the large, bright colour screen and intuitive data wheel.
There are hundreds of onboard voices – pianos (of course), strings, guitars, synths, and even vintage MIDI-style tones for that nostalgic sparkle.
And if you’re the kind of player who likes to be accompanied, the DGX-670 has you covered.
Choose a ballad-style band, or jump into dance, jazz, country, or even pop/rock – it’s like having your own backing group on call, complete with automatic intros, fills, and endings. It even responds dynamically to your playing style, suggesting appropriate sounds as you go.
It’s very clever stuff – and incredibly fun to use.
There’s even a microphone input, so you can sing along or use vocal effects while playing. This makes the DGX-670 a great option not just for pianists, but also for singers or performers looking for a well-rounded live setup in one tidy package.
Honestly, it’s one of those instruments where the more time you spend exploring, the more it gives back. Whether you’re a songwriter, a home player, or a performer on a budget, this piano opens a lot of doors.

Smaller items, such as books, discs, etc, will be dispatched via Royal Mail second class.
After purchase, you can download the file either from the order confirmation page or the "Downloads" tab in "My Account".
If you have selected the option to receive a pre-loaded USB stick, then this will be dispatched via Royal Mail.
We will contact you regarding any pre-ordered items, and let you know when they arrive so as to arrange delivery with you at a convenient time.
