Featuring three stunning models, the CVP-909, CVP-909GP, and CVP-905, the CVP900 Series is the latest and greatest addition to Yamaha’s acclaimed line of Clavinova digital pianos.
With its sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and unparalleled versatility, the CVP-900 Series is sure to become a game-changer for pianists of all levels.
One of the standout features of the CVP-900 Series is its incredible range of non-piano voices and band/orchestra accompaniment styles. Whether you’re into jazz, pop, classical, or anything in between, the CVP-900 Series has you covered with a vast array of backing styles that sound polished and professional.
You’ll be able to play your favourite tunes exactly as they’re written or experiment with arranging and composing your own music, all while enjoying authentic accompaniments that enhance your playing and take it to new heights.
The CVP-909 and CVP-905 take things even further with dramatically improved sounds that will blow you away.
From electric pianos to strings, guitars to basses, and drums to percussion, these pianos deliver a level of sound quality that has to be heard to be believed.
Thanks to Yamaha’s acclaimed Super Articulation technology, each instrument is reproduced with incredible detail and nuance, capturing the unique characteristics that make them so special.
The Yamaha CVP-900 series introduces two new features that enhance the playing experience.
Firstly, the Grand Expression Modeling accurately captures the subtle variations in sound produced by the player, resulting in a performance that sounds like it is being played on a real acoustic concert grand piano.
Secondly, the GrandTouch pedal technology is also making its debut on the CVP-900 series. This innovative system enables the player to execute the ‘half pedalling’ technique with the damper pedal and hold it at ‘middle depth’ with ease.
The damper pedals’ pivot point has been adjusted to resemble that of a real grand piano, which adds to the overall authenticity.
On the CVP-909 model, the damper pedal also replicates the weight of a real damper pedal, providing a truly genuine pedal response. Additionally, the pedal’s shape is designed to mimic that of a concert grand piano pedal.

Hallo Chris,
on the NAMM yamaha has shown the new CVP909.
What are the differences to the CVP 809.
I cannot recognice the differences! Can you help me to explain me the new features of the CVP909 )only the differences to CVP809 – or its the same?)?
That’s a great question. I didn’t notice any differences between the CVP 809 and CVP909 either.
