Who are

David Cooper (owner of ePianos) opened his first shop in 1995 in Banbury, Oxfordshire, as a general music retailer selling everything from saxophones to guitars and woodwind instruments.

Following the success of his business, David later relocated to larger premises in 2003, where he could offer a bigger selection of instruments as well as teaching rooms. During this time, Chris Hammond (manager, pictured back left) came to manage the store and between David and Chris the award-winning and phenomenally successful TyrosTipsters were created, offering video guides for the then-flagship Tyros range of Yamaha keyboards.

In late 2017, the decision was made to specialise in digital pianos and keyboards and so was born.

As before, the business went from strength-to-strength, and in winter 2018 the business relocated to even larger premises at Canada Close, a trading estate near the M40 junction for Banbury. This current premises have accommodated the expansion of stock and office space required, alongside bigger teaching rooms and better facilities for students and customers.

In spite of the growth the business has enjoyed since it’s earliest days, David and his staff still feel they owe their success, quite simply, to high-quality customer service.

The little things, such as getting to know their customersguiding them to make the right purchase, providing video comparisons and product reviews – these have been key to the success of ePianos, and will continue to be the focus of the business as it goes forward.

Meet the team

Behind is a team of dedicated staff, mostly musicians themselves, many of whom have been working for the business for ten years or more – find out more about them below.

David Cooper | Owner Proprietor

David Cooper has been involved with music retail for over 30 years, and has watched his business grow from strength to strength, once running a hugely successful general music store to now operating one the UKs leading specialists for digital pianos, keyboards and used organs.

Chris Hammond | Manager

Chris is the longest-serving member of the sales team, and co-creator of the award-winning TyrosTipsters videos, later evolving this successful format into the hugely-popular review and blog videos you’ll see on our site and on YouTube today. Chris writes the majority of our blog and handles all marketing.

David Brandon | Web Manager, Sales & Marketing

David has been with the business for more than 15 years, originally selling guitars before moving on to websales and marketing as ePianos developed. He now oversees the business’ online presence, managing the website itself (having co-produced it), and still has a firm hand in day to day sales.

Jamie Raitt | Stock Manager

Jamie began with the company in the drum department, before taking over an ever-expanding stock room, later to become a fully-fledged warehouse. Jamie ensures that our stock is accounted for, well-maintained and ready to get to you on time. He’s been with the business for over 10 years.

Charlie Cooper | Web & Marketing

Charlie is David Cooper’s son, and joined the business to assist with the production of our marketing material, and later the co-design and development of our website. His first passion is Live Visual Production, in which he has a degree from Backstage Academy, Leeds.

Floella Cooper | Admin & Customer Relations

Floella, David Cooper’s daughter, is responsible for overseeing online sales administration, as well as the design and production of some of our key product literature such as our GenosTipsters guide. She is also responsible for the original photography we feature throughout our website and in our mailing.

Jamie Halliday | Delivery & Servicing

The son of Edna Halliday, former director of the hugely successful Whitley Bay Home Organ company, Jamie is a talented engineer in his own right, with a lifetime in the trade. He is the beating-heart of Whitley Bay Organs under its caretakership at ePianos, organising (and usually undertaking) all of our van deliveries.

Melanie Leplumey | Front Desk

Melanie is the first point of contact for our customers, and usually the first voice you hear when you call us! She keeps our website up to date with the latest information (which is no mean feat), and handles and distributes all enquiries to the relevant staff.

Jenny Nunneley | Accounts

Jenny is the longest-serving member of the team, with over 20 years’ service. She is responsible for our bookkeeping and accounting, as well as deciphering some of the less well-kept notes on our computer system! She’s a keen golfer and used to be a mean hockey player and coach.

Isaac Stuart | Sales

Isaac is one of our longest-serving sales team members, and is a gifted musician and actor. He has a wealth of product knowledge and experience, and also oversees a range of promotional content via social media and email. You’ll also see him in a number of our ePianos Youtube demonstration videos.

Max Humphrey | Sales

Max is a relatively recent addition to our sales team, and is a talented multi-instrumentalist. You’ll speak with him here in sales, and you’ll also see him in many of our ePianos product videos.

Sam Baldry | Sales & Servicing

Sam divides his time between sales and assisting with stock maintenance and other logistics in our warehouse. He also occasionally writes for the ePianos blog, using his keen interest in engineering to help explain product technology in everyday terms.
